What is the difference between Flexi, Solar Mini, Solar, Solar Ultra and Solar Alpha?

The Solar series (Solar, Solar Mini, Solar Ultra and Solar Alpha) includes our signature Solar Drying technique which produces heat that is similar to drying your laundry directly under the Sun. Besides faster drying performance, the Solar Drying technique helps to eliminate bacteria and prevent odours, without the use of Ultraviolet.

I have an existing manual system, can you help us dismantle it?

Yes, we provide dismantling at no additional cost when you purchase any system from us. As a gesture of goodwill, we will also patch up the holes in the ceiling left by the previous laundry rack free of charge. However, we do not provide any painting services.

You can also do a trade-in of any existing system for additional discount!

Does the LED help in drying?

All systems are integrated with the LED light for illuminating purposes so that you get to enjoy all the benefits in one. Save even more without having to purchase any additional ceiling light!

Can the machine be pushed out of the window?

No, this is an indoor system. It’s designed to be more efficient than conventional manual system. From increased safety to more load capacity, you can dry more clothes without the hassle of lifting heavy laundry. The systems are also designed to encourage air ventilation for your laundry to dry faster.

Most customers prefer to have their laundry dried under the Sun. However, various factors like unpredictable weather, the direction of your house for sunlight, and the time you choose to dry laundry, may not always be on your side. With our Solar series, you can come home to sun-dried laundry anytime, any day.

Does Steigen consume a lot of electricity when it is used?

No, the heavy lifting function is rated only 0.00001 kWh which is less than 10 cents of electricity per month. The Solar Drying function consumes only 0.72 kWh, and it is at least 9 times more energy efficient than conventional dryers! How low can the system be lowered?

We offer 2 different drop heights to accommodate both regular and high ceiling homes. Our systems can be lowered to either 1.35m or 1.8m. Contact us for a
free on-site assessment and our Site Measurement Expert can better recommend you a system that would fit your space and needs.

How do I care for Steigen?

Our systems require zero maintenance and cleaning duties are not necessary. However, if you wish to clean your system, you may do so by lightly vacuum or wipe away any visible dust on the telescopic poles.

How does the Steigen dry up the clothes?
The inbuilt Solar ceramic heaters and air circulators simulate the heat energy from sunlight. As hot air rises and cold air sinks, heat is distributed uniformly around the clothes without warming up the rest of the room. Drying performance may speed up in an enclosed area.
What is the difference between Steigen and a tumble dryer?

Some things are too precious to tumble. Steigen is designed to preserve your delicates at its natural state. Users can enjoy the convenience and reliability with less energy consumption than a dryer. No worries on keeping Steigen a healthy condition, it’s maintenance-free through its entire life!

Delivery

What are the delivery fees?

Yes, all prices of our systems include local delivery, installation and warranty (2 years on parts and 5 years on motor).

What are the delivery time slot?

Our installation slots are available from Monday to Saturday (except Public Holiday) at these time slots:

  • 9am - 11am
  • 11am - 1pm
  • 2pm - 4pm
  • 4pm - 6pm

Please secure your desired slot at least 2 weeks in advance.

  • Delivery will be made within the stipulated slot.
  • Installation may take about 1.5 - 2 hours depending on the complexity of work.
Do you ship internationally?

Can I change or cancel my order?

As our orders are processed automatically, it is not possible to change/cancel an order. Please contact us at +65 8877 0005.

Installation

Can it be installed on false ceiling?

Yes, Steigen’s technical team is trained to provide safe installation on false ceiling. Steigen uses special technique to add support connecting to the actual concrete slab ceiling, ensuring strong support to the system. Wires are also concealed, resulting in a clean and sleek installation.

Can it be installed at balcony?

Yes, our technical team is experienced in installing the systems in the balcony area.

Are there any electrical requirements?

Yes, all Steigen systems (excluding Solar Alpha) require a minimum of 6 Ampere to function. On the other hand, Solar Alpha requires a minimum of 13 Ampere (2.5 m㎡ cable) to function. We offer various power source options and will recommend the best option that is most compatible to your space.

Do I need to provide any power point for the system?

Steigen is very energy efficient, the regualr lighting point power* is sufficient to power the system, so it is not necessary to use a dedicated power point. Contact us for a free on-site assessment, and we can provide the best solution, ensuring safe usage, and aesthetically beautiful installation.

*Applicable to all models except Solar Alpha.

Do I need to provide any power point for the remote controller?

Steigen’s remote controller is battery operated and does not require any dedicated power point source.

I have not collected my keys. Can I make a purchase first?

Sure, you can make a purchase with an open-ended installation period. Once you have a date in mind, give us a call or whatsapp to 8877 0005 to arrange for installation 1 - 2 weeks in advance.

What are your installation charges?

Installation is free of charge in Singapore with purchase of any model. Steigen also provides dismantling and disposal of your existing laundry rack (bamboo holders, push-out system, pulley rack) on the same day of installation, without any charge.

Warranty

What does the warranty cover?
What is not covered?

You may not make a claim under this warranty unless the defect claimed is due to faulty, defective parts or workmanship. This warranty does not cover:

  • Batteries for the remote controller;
  • Misuse or abuse, including failure to properly maintain or service;
  • Normal wear and tear;
  • Power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply;
  • Malfunction caused by improper disassembling, modification or repairing by 3rd party;
  • Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation;
  • Insect or vermin infestation;
  • Accidental damage due to own's negligence;
  • Exterior damages caused by chemical fumes or sharp objects.
How do I extend my warranty?

You can extend your warranty upon checkout. Simply add to your cart. SteigenCare+ or SteigenCare Deluxe can also be purchased within 2 years from the date of installation.

Do I need to provide proof of warranty when requesting for service?

A copy of your original receipt and physical inspection is required to claim the warranty.

What are the modes of payment?

We accept Cash, Cheque, NETS and Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).

Is there any installment plans?

Yes! We offer 0% interest instalment plan up to 12 months available with a POSB/DBS credit card (Master/Visa only). Alternatively, 3-month interest-free instalment plan when you shop with Hoolah online.

Are prices inclusive of GST?
Yes, prices are inclusive of GST.

Refund Policy

What is the refund process?

Refunds and returns must be done within 30 days from the date of delivery. Intentional modification or cosmetic amendments of the system that may impact the refurbishment or usability will void the terms of the system’s return policy.


You may refund/return your order for any of the following reasons:

  • Systems that are defective/damaged upon arrival, please contact us. 

Here follows the general requirements for returns:

  • Proof of purchase (invoice order number and payment receipt).
  • The system must be in its original state and condition, along with all original accessories (e.g. remote control and charging cable) and any free gifts received with it.

Here follows the condition(s) when the system is non-returnable:

  • Intentional misuse or abuse of the system, including failure to properly maintain or service
  • Power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply
  • Malfunction caused by improper disassembling, modification or repairing by 3rd party
  • Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation
  • Insect or vermin infestation
  • Accidental damage due to owner's negligence
  • Exterior damages caused by chemical fumes or sharp objects

Uninstallation and return delivery charges will not be charged. Drill holes left behind by the system after uninstallation will be patched up. However, painting services will not be provided.

One 1-to-1 exchange is allowed per purchase. The exchange system will not be eligible for further exchange or refund unless faulty.

If your refund/return meets the above requirements and should you wish to proceed with the refund/return, please contact our Customer Service Team with your contact details and invoice order number. 

Here follows the refund/return process:

  1. Our Customer Service Team will verify the refund/return reason(s) and arrange an uninstallation and pick-up date for you
  2. We will process your refund or replacement based on the reason(s) highlighted to our Customer Service Team within 10 days from the starting from the day we received your returned system. 
  3. A refund reimbursement will be done through the same mode of payment that was made in the original purchase. For cash payments, an e-banking transfer will be done instead.
